The Magic of Microfibre!

The new definition of clean

Microfibre products provide a superior level of hygiene and cleanliness. Used in Hospitals and recommended by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Microfibre is able to remove 98% of bacteria while traditional products only remove 30%. Microfibre products eliminate germs, which prevent the people in your building from becoming ill.

Microfibre is a synthetic material made from nylon and polyester fibres. These fibres are incredibly fine and when they are woven together, they create a very efficient dirt-trapping weave. The trick is the nylon fibres. They rub together when used and actually have a small static charge, which attracts and holds dirt and debris. This increases it’s ability to clean – the charge helps attract dirt into the crevices in the strands. Microfibre ensures the safest and best clean for all environments.

The benefits of Microfibre

The key benefit of Microfibre products is increased productivity and efficiency.

  • One surface wipe with Microfibre is superior to numerous wipes from cotton
  • Microfibre can remove up to 98% of bacteria from surfaces using only hot water, saving on the cost of cleaning chemicals
  • Cotton captures a minimal percentage of the dust and bacteria on the surface, where Microfibre traps 98% of all bacteria an dirt
  • The speed of clean is therefore 50% faster than cotton, and 3 times more effective
  • Microfibre is kind to surfaces. Floors, bench tops, windows, wood, steel, and walls are all safe with microfibre – no need to worry about scratching or damage

How to care for your Microfibre cloth

Caring for your Microfibre cloth is the single most important aspect in getting them to do their job properly. Wash them separately in warm water – optimal temperature is 30 C – to break down the forces that are holding together the fibres and dirt particles. Don’t use fabric conditioners in the wash as they clog up the fibres and reduce their effectiveness.

Dry your Microfibre cloth gently in the dryer, or even better in the open air. Strong heat will melt the fibres.

Microfibre mops

Microfibre works well in mop giving the benefits of Microfibre but also offering productivity gains. Microfibre mops need less water and chemicals to clean and this leads to cost savings and fewer spill hazards while in use.

Microfibre cloth systems

No matter what business you are in; hospitality, early childhood, retail, medical you’ll benefit from a colour coded cleaning system. Commercial cleaners use different coloured cloths for different areas e.g. kitchen, bathrooms, and general cleaning. This prevents cross-contamination, which is especially important in busy places such as schools and offices where large amounts of dirt and bacteria accumulate every day.
